Good dog

Meet Ein, a normal Welsh Corgi. Well, he SEEMS normal; the pet shop owner sees nothing extraordinary about him. So why is the wanted criminal Abdul Hakim so desperate to get him back after he runs off? Ein is the first new member of the Bebop's crew, to be joined later by Faye Valentine and Radical Edward.

He's a genius of a dog, it turns out, and we follow the chase to claim him in this episode.

Like the Asteroid Blues, it's great entertainment, if not quite as compelling. Meeting Ein, and some humorous moments involving Spike, the dog, and the chase make this a worthy episode.

Great fun, quite a tail!

The second episode of "Cowboy Bebop" is an altogether more lighthearted affair than the opener.

With an interstellar dognapper causing chaos in the star-system, our bold heroes have more than their fair share of pet-related problems.

8 out of 10. Beautifully detailed animation, genuine style and a soundtrack to die for.

How can one rate this so low when Ein. Ein. EIN. EIN! EIN EIN EIN!!!!!!! EIIIIN. Ein. I love Ein. Greatest character in television history. Fat corgi.

After a good pilot, why is this episode so dumb?

Everyone is dumber than the dog. Spike just leaves after he sees the corgi, when anyone with half a brain cell knows there's either something more to it.

A real bounty hunter would conclude that a rich person paid a small fortune to get their dog back, no questions asked. Unfunny hijinks ensue as well. Might as well read the cliffnotes for this episode
