The first time the android, whose name was only hinted at with the acronym "A.M.A.Z.O." seen briefly on a blueprint in "Tabula Rasa", is called Amazo.
When Aquaman advances his queen in the first chess game, it can be seen to the right of his knight, in the board's middle, but in the next shot it's at the far left, alone, before it returns with a white rook replacing its second position (the one Aquaman moves).
Aquaman says he did the check in five moves, but he did it in four moves - as it should be, since it would have taken an even number.
The chessboard is a flush one with edges straight against the straight-legged table in the first game, but in the second it's bordered by a thick board, atop a table with arched legs.
In the second game. Aquaman moves a pawn and Amazo takes his king - which he wouldn't needed to have done after the move with the pawn would have checked him, let alone take the king.
