I love this episode. So quirky and left-field with some great comic moments. Jonathan getting examined by a friend of his mother, the gorilla sitting on the loo, and best of all, the scene of Jonathan and Maddy in bed together. Laugh out loud funny. Pure class.

An iconic episode.

Jonathan is called in to investigate the strange case, a man who lives with his family and a family of monkeys dies bizarrely in a locked room.
I wouldn't say it's my favourite mystery, others are much better, but it's the utter absurdity and eccentricity of it and the characters that make this such an appealing finale to the first series. We've had locked room mysteries before, but none like this. The monkeys roaming around the house freely, getting in on the case make it such a quirky episode.
Great scenes between Jonathan and Maddy, one of the best for the duo, in the will they or won't they scenario, they share some real laughs.
The conclusion is straight our of leftfield, but somehow seems unimportance in the story overall. Annette Crosbie is superb, Selina Cadell is great also.
An oddly engaging episode. 8/10.

Warning: Spoilers
Johnathan continues to be too soft for his own good far too trusty and malleable, without ever expressing himself.
Johnathan's mum has asked her friend Dr. Ingrid Strange (Annette Crosby) to keep a medical eye on him, and she gives him a thorough going over.
Dr. Strange husband Elliot dies in bizarre circumstances, and she needs to have someone with her to help make sense of things. So she calls Johnathan and asks him to come over and investigate the situation.
What or who does Maddy really want in her personal life? Is it Johnathan? Does she even know her own mind?
