Joey and the Perfect Storm (#1.5)

Warning: Spoilers
Joey is an understudy in three plays and the leads in all of them get the flu and he doesn't know how to be in all those plays. One of the tenants moves out of their apartment complex and they don't want Gina to find out so she doesn't move in. But as she finds out turns out that she does enjoy living on her own now as well.

Lots of fun moments in the episode. The understudy plot line was hilarious all the way. And Joey at the end making his great monologue and it turning out that it was a wrong play was an awesome idea. Just like the scene of him convincing the actor in the third play to go on stage by using a baseball example.

"It's the understudy perfect storm!"

This is one of my favourite episodes of 'Joey' from across the two series. It was so much better than people make out! Joey understudies for three plays, and ends up being called to appear in all of them on the same night due to flu season.

It's a well played out episode, with Matt Le Blanc on top form, and ably supported by the underrated supporting cast.

Yes, there's no B plot to help audiences get to know the secondary characters a bit better, but for all out fun this is a great episode - directed by David Schwimmer no less.
