A 1961 or '65 Moët & Chandon is Jason's favourite champagne vintage. He claims his mother in in Geneva, and has an apartment in Paris, France.
Jason's written at least 26 Mark Caine adventures, some 20 of which contain robberies (including safe-cracking in "The Lady Can Purr" and "Shadow of an Iron Man"), though he's yet to pen a Venetian thriller. "The Red Danube" is set in Vienna. Other works include "People in Glass Houses Shouldn't", "From China Yours Sincerely" - basing judo expert Selina Kerr on Arlene - and "Index Finger, Left Hand".
