Smoke and mirrors with "Spy vs Spy" action
hindsonevansmike7 July 2021
Typical feint and counter-bluff in the espionage game. Jack Keeter (for the first but not the only time in his "JAG" career - never take a flight with this guy) manages to land a damaged F-14 on Cuban soil.

All ends well - when they return to DC, Alison Krennick gets to express a candid interest in Harm's shower. No wonder he moved apartments before Season Two!

A bit of Cloak and Dagger.

Warning: Spoilers
Enjoyable episode with a few plot twists. Great blooper though. An F14 makes an emergency landing in Cuba, but the Cubans are seen inspecting it in a hanger full of Tomcats.

"Smoked"

Harmon Rabb and Meg Austin do get around - they're in Cuba this episode, after an electrical strike sent a US fighter jet off target near Florida and unfortunately for the pilot - Jack Keeter, Harm's roommate from their Naval Academy days - ventures into Cuban airspace, resulting in a mission to Havana to try and ensure the technology doesn't fall into the hands of any enemy combatants. A State Department official is along for the ride, as is Commander Krennick, who appears for the second-straight episode.

A good episode, especially if you enjoy the cut and thrust of espionage dressed up in diplomatic niceties.

A notable episode as "Smoked" gives us the first appearance of Admiral A. J. Chegwidden (brilliantly played by John M. Jackson) the no-nonsense former SEAL who, according to Krennick, will use his JAG posting as a springboard to the Chief of Naval Operations role.
