When Harm asked Willie/Roscoe if he knew his father at the prison camp he was told that he was a Wild Weasel pilot. Navy didn't fly Wild Weasel missions it was all Air Force starting in 1965.
While the term "Wild Weasel" was coined by the Untied States Air Force, they were not the only such pilots to fly those type of missions. Wild Weasel was the Air Force term for aircraft flying Suppression of Enemy Air Defense (SEAD) missions, which were also conducted by the US Navy during Vietnam. Operation Iron Hand was the mission that introduced the Wild Weasel tactic that has become the standard for SEAD missions, it was carried out by both Air Force and Navy pilots, any pilot that flew a SEAD mission during Vietnam was known as a Wild Weasel.
