The script called for Admiral Chegwidden to lay a punch to Clayton Webb that knocks him to the ground. However, the scene became a little too "real" as John M. Jackson accidentally connected with Steven Culp (Webb) for real breaking Culp's nose. In an interview during his time on Star Trek: Enterprise (2001), Culp was asked what the most memorable moments of his career was. The runner-up he admitted was playing Bobby Kennedy twice. Once in a TV movie and the second time receiving third billing in the movie Thirteen Days (2000) opposite Kevin Costner and Bruce Greenwood. His most memorable experience though, was having his nose broken by John M. Jackson.
Filmed entirely on location in Darwen, Lancashire, England.

Taiga is the Russian term for the boreal, or snow forest, the Earth's largest land biome that consists of coniferous forests made up mostly of pines, spruces, and larches. This forest is found in the high northern latitudes between the Arctic tundra and temperate forest zones. In North America it covers most of inland Alaska and Canada, and even extends a short ways down into upstate New York. In Eurasia it covers some of Iceland, part of central Norway, most of Sweden and Finland, a large portion of Russia including almost all of Siberia and on the Pacific side it covers parts of northern Kazakhstan, Mongolia and Japan.
