New Girl in Town is about agent Rebecca Locke joining the team, in the hunt for a psychopath who removes the faces of women new in town.
The combination of a good cast and premise, with the qualified Tim Minear at the helm. The lovely Rachel Nichols leads the cast, as alluring as ever. It opens vague in terms of the case and the lighting's bad, only half their faces are visible at times. It's clever, with good dialogue though and it's a solid starting episode for sure, with a strong finish. I'm getting a whole Xander vibe from Paul towards Rebecca. Rickaby aka Denver from "Angel," plays a good guest villain. Catchy closing beat too, good stuff.
