Robin is Brilliant

I really enjoyed this show - Robin certainly was all over and dominative. Robin hardly answer any question seriously, but there are serious tones under his comic answers - you can guess what is true and what is just pure comic imagination. You will also enjoy the wonderful imitations he makes, and the run through Robin's movie career - from Popeye, through Fisher King, The Story of Will Haunting to Death to Smotchie, which was the latest film he was working on, by the time this show was filmed. I have noticed that Robin uses some of the jokes all over again - some of the jokes he told here were told in his Live in Broadway show. Still, this is one of the best shows for people who want to get to know their favorite actor's life.

The Funniest Episode of of Inside the Actors Studio Ever
LaurieMann27 September 2014
But it's also just a little bit sad now.

Robin Williams was both thoughtful and reflective, and also completely gonzo during this Inside the Actors Studio episode. He was so fast and so on during that taping, it's simply amazing. There's also the great "shawl improv" where he borrows a pink shawl from a woman in the audience and just uses it as a prop.

He explains how he did his first nude scene in Central Park in the middle of the night which is a very funny story.

The DVD is two hours of hysterical stuff. The Williams taping is rumored to have gone on for 5 hours, which would be a great thing to find and broadcast.
