What's truly amazing in this episode is how fast this case gets to court, something that would probably never happen in New York City, even in the 1950's. It's the Mertzes 25th anniversary, and Ricky and Lucy have bought them a television set which is accidentally broken when Ricky tries to fix it. Out of pure malice, Fred breaks the Ricardo's set and both couples end up in court because of their anger over the situation. Both parties rehearse their testimony with Fred and Ricky acting as their own attorneys. They exaggerate the testimony, and Ethel's is a complete fabrication.

A lot of very funny moments in this episode, starting with Ricky and Lucy attempting to get the TV set down the stairs and ultimately how it explodes, causing the glass and the tube to break. Ultimately this episode is about how immature the two couples can be in a serious situation, and this gives each of the cast members (including Moroni Olson as the judge) a lot of funny material to work with.

Such a great episode for the Ricardos and the Mertzes their quintessential fight. The stairs scene is hilarious poor Ricky slipping down the stairs. And the courtroom was great too.
