Another redecorated episode, this time, the Mertzes apartment. I love how Lucy messed up her line and kept a straight face and Desi corrects her by adlibb. It's amazing how it became a blooper without being a blooper. Why not let mistakes fly just comment on it and move on? It's actually realistic because we all fib.

I enjoy these episodes and this one may be the best of them. This time though Lucy gets Ricky and the Mertz's to redecorate the Mertz's apartment.
It starts though with Lucy excited that Ricky is getting her a mink stole. Once again she has to act it out for Ethel because Ricky is tired of hearing her say mink . It's another classic scene.
Lucy realizes Ethel is ashamed of how her apartment looks and doesn't want to hold club meetings in it .
Fred objects to the idea due to the cost but due to a few reasons Ricky will foot the bill!
Also look for what happens to Fred's beloved lamp ! It's a piece of junk but he thinks it's grand ! Ethel " oh no let's don't lose that lamp!"
Things go from bad to worse when the feathers from Fred's beloved chair fly everywhere amongst the wet paint.
Everything works out and both apartments get a makeover but Lucy's mink gets lost in the shuffle.
Lucy's line to Ricky when he keeps saying things his father would say " what did your father ever do but sit around and think up corny sayings?"

I don't know if this is my favorite episode but it's one I never get tired of watching . Starting out with Lucy spreading the news she's getting a mink stole to redecorating the Mertz's apartment. The humor never gets tired maybe because all four characters act so true to themselves.
Fred the ultimate pinch penny , Ricky wanting Lucy to stay out of the Mertz's business, Lucy of course coming up with the idea that she thinks will help their friends and Ethel jumping at the opportunity to fix up their apartment .
There are episodes as much as I love I can at times grow tired of this one never fails me.
