Women vs men again
kellielulu24 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
It's one of the most consistent themes of I love Lucy and the most sucessful . After Ricky gets a little too bossy Lucy demands equal rights . Ethel and Fred predictiably takes sides. Fred runs of a list of things women are now doing but it's of course the devil is in the details things .A night out at dinner provides a lot of laughs from Ricky and Fred shaving at the table to match the women doing a makeup retouch to not paying for Lucy and Ethel's meals ( something Fred is willing to be equal on) . The funniest part of the episode is Lucy and Ethel left to wash the resuraunt dishes . They also start to argue over their situation but realize it's not worth arguing about. They also realize there is no money to get home and will have to walk. Lucy comes up with a terrifying but also hilarious way it could play out. She then cooks up a scheme to get the guys to pick them up not know they were going to anyways. What trasnpires at the resturaunt is one of the funniest thing I have ever seen. From them doing the dishes and everything that happens after until Ricky and Fred are arrested ! The problem is the last scene falls a little flat after one of the funniest episodes but it's still a solid episode.

As a woman, I find the episode amusing. Of course Lucy and Ethel want to be treated like men and it's not all it's cracked up to be. I am not offended because the episode is not trying to prove a point it's Entertainment husbands versus wives. In a way, both genders got even that's the point. The guys got the girls and the girls got the guys, it evened out.
