"The Mod Party" finds Roger inviting Tony and Jeannie to a swinging mod party in full Carnaby Street style. Captain Yardley (Dabney Coleman) delivers the bad news that the two must attend a typical annual event at Dr. Bellows' place, where Mrs. Bellows served soggy hors d'oeuvres last year. Jeannie has been shopping by herself, while excuses are made to pacify Dr. Bellows with a hunting trip. Roger plucks an upright bass, as Jeannie's blink with folded arms inspire the guests to imitate her new dance. Alfred and Amanda Bellows prove to be the life of the party after Tony and Roger are forced to conduct the hunt wearing togas with bows and arrows. In her husband's absence Mrs. Bellows enjoys flirting yet again, while the whole thing ends in desultory fashion as one of the most dated entries. Dabney Coleman had previously played a lieutenant in "Anybody Here Seen Jeannie?" while Hilarie Thompson was making her sitcom debut in one shopping scene, later playing the hippie daughter of Vinton Hayworth's General Schaeffer in "Jeannie, My Guru."
