A 2000 year old genie tries to become a typical modern woman
kevinolzak4 November 2016
"The Americanization of Jeannie" finds our intrepid genie trying to learn the ways of modern women, which she does by studying a magazine article. Coming home to a messy house makes Tony angry, Jeannie's shopping spree coming at the expense of his credit card. Dining out does not go very well either, with a suddenly jealous Jeannie joining the belly dancer's gyrations: "she moves as gracefully as a dog scratching fleas!" As a demonstrator for the new miracle oven, she resorts to using her magical powers as an inducement to earn her commissions. Resigned to her inability to become a typical modern woman, Jeannie is content to remain an extraordinary genie.
