In this episode, Burkhalter is escorting a business man, Fritz Bowman, that is to build a synthetic fuel plant on the grounds of Stalag 13. It seems that the Allies are bombing many of the plants and the safest place would be a prison camp where the Allies are not likely to bomb. Burkhalter wants the prisoners moved so that construction of the plant could begin ASAP.
Of course Hogan knows that moving would be the end of their operation so he is set on trying to get the plant to be built somewhere other than the camp. So Hogan makes Klink believe that under the camp there is a large amounts of oil that would make him rich after the war. But to really stop the plant, Hogan and Klink must get Burkhalter in on the lie thinking that oil in buried under the camp.
Even though the episode started out rather inane with LeBeau locking himself in Klink's safe just to overhear a conversation- the story soon picked up and made for a nice TV sitcom. The action may not have dictated a strong show but the script was tight and well written. Another nice show from season one.
