As Hercules fights Estragon, a bubble floats from the left side of the screen into the shot.
When Xena enters the bath with Iolaus, she is supposed to be naked after doffing her shawl. Yet for a second or so, we can see her butt in modern thong lingerie. The garment was likely placed there to conform to network standards, and/or to prevent the bootleg sale of unauthorised Lucy Lawless nude photos.
The series is set well before 1000 BC, yet Iolaus makes a proverbial reference to "every good Samaritan who comes along." This phrase refers generally to a cultural identity which formed only around 700 BC, and specifically to a story from the Gospel of Saint Luke which was written in the 1st century AD. Since the context does not call attention to it as a gag, the anachronism is probably unintentional.
