Tough decisions for Dorothy to make.
Sleepin_Dragon13 November 2022
Dorothy has fallen in love with a dishy instructor, she's head over heels in love with him, there's just one snag.

It's another solid episode, again, it's not my favourite from series one, but it does have its moments. It's another of the more serious offerings, but there are some amusing moments, Sophia listening to Prince, a joy.

Rose's tale of love was super sweet and funny, acts of swine.....I spat my coffee out, the look on Dorothy's face was a picture.

I think the story shows that it can be hard to find love whether you're young, old, wild or calm, finding someone can be so hard, and there can always be a snag.

I loved the contrast of characters, Blanche so open minded, Rose so old fashioned and principled.

I love how that chocolate cake has shrunk as the episodes have gone on, it started off as a full cake, it's declined with each episode.

7/10.

Dorothy's Affair
msudude2224 May 2017
Dorothy acts as if she didn't know the guy she is having an affair with is married. He tells her he is married and she seems shocked. Doesn't she wonder why they are meeting at a hotel? Dorothy is also wearing the green outfit, she wears that outfit whenever she has a date. It's as if that is the only outfit she owns.

That Was No Lady (#1.14)

Warning: Spoilers
Dorothy falls in love at the first sight and is going out with that man. At some point he confesses to her that he is married. She leaves but can't stay away from him and still tries to make it work. The other three are judging her for it and she also does not feel very comfortable with the whole situation so she breaks up with him. And Blanche is trying to sell Rose her car.

I must say the episode as a bit too boring. The whole affair story was just very cliché and predictable and there wasn't too much to laugh about. Except for Rose mistaken somebody calling for Glen and then saying that she thought he was the guy Dorothy had an affair with.

One of the dullest episodes in the series history.

Warning: Spoilers
Dorothy thinks that she has found the new love of her life, but usually when that happens so fast, one is bound to be disappointed. Glen (Alex Rocco) is the gym teacher at the school where she has a long term assignment, and he seems to adore her. But as it turns out, predictably, Glen is married, in a horrible marriage, and still remaining with his wife even though their kids are grown and on their own. Dorothy is naturally livid, storms into the bathroom rather than out the door, and has to face the wrath of Sophia who finds Dorothy's desire to see a married man on the side to be a grave sin. Dorothy continues to see Glen after a brief separation even though she has major guilt feelings about it, and when she begins to recall being cheated on by Stan has to face the truth about not wanting to be "the other woman" irregardless of Glen's marital situation. This episode has several truly awkward moments (especially the girl's attempts to keep Glen and Dorothy apart), and Rocco really isn't all that appealing as Glen. Later on when Jerry Orbach took over the part for one episode, he all of a sudden had the passion that the character required. This is one of a handful of episodes that I tend to hit "next" on as it really has little to want to revisit.
