A Midwinter Night's Dream (#7.19)

Warning: Spoilers
It is a full moon night and Blanche is throwing a party. She doesn't invite many women as she wants to get all the guys affected by full moon. Rose and Miles decide to get married. And Sophia wants to break a curse. When Dorothy and Miles make a mistake and kiss each other she thinks of telling it to Rose. And Blanche falls in love for a British thief.

A pretty good and very eventful episode. There was so much happening it is hard to keep all in track.

It was especially fun when Rose tells Miles and Dorothy to kiss to make up right before Sophia tells it to her

An over-long hour of absurdity.

Warning: Spoilers
Another one of the few episodes that I completely skip through to certain scenes, this deals with a party at the house where Sophia is trying to fight off an old Sicilian curse which requires several incidents of certain kinds of silly occurrences that happen either by accident or by Sophia forcing them to happen. One of them, betrayal of a best friend, occurs when Miles and Dorothy end up in a passionate kiss which Sophia witnesses. This leads to the conversation between Dorothy and Rose about cupcakes, now a much quoted classic moment from the show. But the presence of the sisters from "Empty Nest" takes this down a notch (although Dreyfuss is always welcome), and some of the guests at the party seem to just be tossed in for gags that fall (some literally) flat, and a lot of it reduces the episode to a snail's pace.
