Christopher shows up to Rorys school debate and brings along his girlfriend Sherrie. Lorelai is surprised to see them together and is feeling a bit jealous/insecure. Chris and Sherrie come back to Lorelai & Rorys house where Sherrie has a private conversation with Lorelai in the kitchen. She rudely tells Lorelai that she isn't interested in having a friendship with her, only with Rory.
Sherrie and Rory have a little girls night together while Christopher and Lorelai go to Friday night dinner at the Gilmores. Emily has a meltdown that Christopher has finally matured and is ready to settle down but not with Lorelai.
At the end of the episode, Lorelai has an awkward conversation with Christopher (while at Luke's diner) which leads him to yell at her. Meanwhile, Rory has set up a CD exchange to Lane, who is grounded. Michel is involved in the exchange and it's hilarious.
