Don Adams seems re-energized in this, the second time he's got to display his amusing Ronald Coleman impression. At times in the fourth season Adams seems to be bored and going through the motions, but not here. As 86 and his lookalike the King of Caronia, Adams is sharp, funny and totally engaged in the action. Having his good friend James Caan along doesn't hurt either. Caan is so good and obviously having a lot of fun that it might have caused Adams to raise his game as well.
The plot involves the KIng secretly being shipped to the US in a mummy case so he can engage in top secret negotiations with the US government. But that's all just an excuse to get the King in to the Smarts' apartment, where 99 constantly mistakes his royal highness for her husband. Rupert of Rathskeller (James Caan) is the King's sworn enemy. He's determined to ruin the conference and steal away the King's diamond studded scepter. It's all great fun and one of the better episodes of the 4th season.
