Bye bye, Bullet
callanvass17 February 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Danny is turning 30 years old and he's not very fond of the idea. They throw him a surprise birthday party and give him new seats for his car "Bullet" His car gets destroyed and Danny is absolutely despondent. To make it up to him, Joey & Jesse find a replica of Bullet with an uncanny resemblance. They get into a bidding war with somebody else and manage to win the bidding, but they don't realize that Danny was the other bidder. Full House started off a little slowly with a few mediocre episodes, but it is really beginning to hit its stride. This one is filled with some great emotion and heart. It is extremely hard to tell somebody when you wreck something they love, I can attest to this. There are also some unprecedented things that commenced in this episode. It was the first time we got a glimpse of the backyard, and I believe it was the first time you saw Michelle walk, even if she had help The twist ending is absolutely fantastic and gave me a nice chuckle. This is a good one, Full House fans will love it

Favorite quote. (Danny's bizarre smile after seeing Bullet destroyed) Joey: That's the same smile Jack Nicholson had in the shining

The One With Danny's 30th Birthday...

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy this episode. It's not one of my all-time favorites, but it's very enjoyable and very funny.

In this episode, Danny gets a lot of anxiety about turning thirty. He comes home to a party for him, which is nice, but then he finds out that his beloved car, Bullet, has been destroyed. Jesse was going to get it waxed and cleaned and everything nice as a birthday present to Danny, but the car fell into the bay and didn't end up well. What a sad birthday.

Overall, I give this episode a 6 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Good.

30!
Movie-ManDan18 March 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Every sitcom has no other choice but to water down certain episodes in order to make room for gags and get everything wrapped up in time. This happens in "The Big Three-O" but only the subplot. The rest was actually well done.

Danny turns 30 in this episode. DJ is 11, so that means Danny had her when he was 19. For the 1970s, that was a pretty young age to be a parent. And people complain these days. I've always found that to be odd.

So it is Danny's birthday, and Jesse and Joey plan a fun day for him. Jesse plans on getting new seat covers for Danny's Thunderbird he calls Bullitt. Jesse is coming out of the store where somebody hits the back of the car, it rolls down a hill, flips, then sinks in the Bay. If that was realistic, there would be so many police reports and damages and compensations that could not be ignored. None of these are addressed! Very unrealistic. Danny sees what happened and becomes depressed. Jesse and Joey use Danny's insurance to buy a replica where a funny bid starts.

Death of a Car
mitchrmp6 December 2013
Danny is not happy that he's turning thirty. The family's planning a surprise birthday party for him, and they have the perfect gift idea: new seat covers for his car, Bullet.

But an accident happens and Bullet dies. The accident isn't Jesse's fault, but he still feels guilty. They feel so bad for Danny that Jesse and Joey go look for a new car for Danny.

The funny part follows, and the result is pretty humorous. I think this is one of the better episodes of Season One. Remember the captain of the fishing boat a few episodes back? She appears in this episode as a party guest.
