Danny Tanner & the boys go fishing for much more than fish
callanvass26 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
D.J & Stephanie are going away, so Danny takes it as an opportunity for some male bonding time with Jesse & Joey. The guys are skeptical, especially Jesse when his old flame Roxanna, a famous rock star calls him. Jesse begrudgingly turns her down, and the boys go fishing. Roxanna appears unexpectedly with her backup singers, and the two rekindle their love. Danny falls for a girl named Caroline, but Danny isn't ready to move on from his deceased wife Pam. This is entertaining for the most part. It's got a goofy charm that is hard to resist. The bee girl outfits D.J & Stephanie wore were cute, but all the bee jokes got rather tiring for me. The Roxanna character had plenty of likable spunk. All credit goes to the beautiful Michelle Nicastro for her fun portrayal of Roxanna. She is sadly deceased in real life. The flirtation and romance between Stamos & Nicastro was quite enjoyable to watch. I also give credit to Bob Saget for nailing a really emotional part near the end. If you're a Full House fan, there is plenty here to entertain you. It's far from being one of the best episodes, but it's far from the worst as well.

More serious
mitchrmp5 December 2013
Not as funny as some of the other episodes, this one concentrates on Danny's recent widowhood and his love for Pam. The guys find themselves without any kid responsibilities for the first time. Joey and Jesse want to go out with women, but Danny wants male bonding. Because the others are sensitive to his grief, they choose the male bonding.

They go fishing on this trip. Danny is a little disappointed when women show up. Jesse's old girlfriend is making the moves on him while Joey has two girls. They all fish together and catch lots of fish - all but Danny who doesn't get a bite.

After their fishing, they all go back to the house. The captain of the boat, a lovely woman, wants to date Danny, but he turns her down. Meanwhile, Jesse is hung up about the fact that his girlfriend is famous while he's not. It's surprisingly Joey who helps them see reality.

There is some comic relief in this episode. Danny goes overboard. Joey jumps in after him while Jesse takes his time taking off everything not waterproof before going in after them.

References are made to Scooby Doo (no surprise there) and The Love Boat theme song is sang by Danny and Joey. Joey compares himself to Alf.

Boys' Night Out.
Movie-ManDan3 March 2016
This is one of the few Full House episodes that revolves fully around the guys and not at all with the girls. I do like the girls, but the guys can have more fun without them.

Stephanie is joining DJ's girl scout troupe called the Honey Bees. Both of them and Michelle are spending the night, leaving the three men to do some mail bonding. Danny schedules a fishing trip where he falls for the skipper and they encounter Jesse's musically successful ex-girlfriend, Roxy and a flame is re-ignited. Her and her band look like a regular 80s all-girl glam group. They are sexy with revealing clothing and wild hair.

Danny is not ready to date and Jesse is jealous of Roxy. Joey has a good pep-talk with Danny and Jesse, and that is the only good part of the post-trip. Danny's insecurity and Jesse's envy are useful subjects, I just thought they could have been tackled better.
