Daddy's Dating

Danny has found himself attracted to the first woman since his wife, and he's not sure what to do with it. The boys encourage him to ask her out, so he does. But when he announces his date to his daughters, they give him a guilt trip which forces him to cancel. But when the boys overhear, they tell him he has to do what he feels is right - his daughters will get over it. So he calls back to re-instate his date...and the circle goes on.

That's really all there is to this episode. It's rather dull, but interesting to see how children would play in to dating again. The episode raises the question - when is it okay to stop mourning and date again? It's not an easy question to answer...

Making the Kids Happy.

This is another episode I usually skip over when I'm watching the full season. Full House has about 195 episodes, give or take, and there's probably eight that I almost never watch. Why? The answer is they are simply too weak. This particular episode is one that I don't always skip, but I don't watch all the time either.

It has been almost a year since Danny became a widower, so Jesse and Joey encourage him to ask out Stephanie's Honey Bee Queen on a date. He tries to break it to the girls, but they don't fully understand dating, so Danny cancels. Jesse and Joey come back, so from then Danny contemplates going out on his date.

One thing I do like is that it give a good perspective on how children react to a parent going out on a date. Perhaps this episode could have been better, perhaps not. The gags where cute, but nothing to write home about. Well, there was one where Danny is on the phone breaking the news to his date and then coming clean in a funny sequence.
