- Merit Blocker: We made him go away
- Lisa Blocker: [looks up at her sister from the couch she is sitting on] It doesn't work, you can't make him go away.
- Freddy Krueger: Dream a little dream... of ME!
- Lisa Blocker: Get away from her you bastard!
- Freddy Krueger: Ohhh sister sister... sister's keeper.
- Freddy Krueger: Hey, Merit. Ever had a man in your bed before?
- [he laughs]
- Freddy Krueger: Don't worry. I'll be real gentle. Real, real gentle.
- Lisa Blocker: But I won't.
- [she hits him with a bat]
- Merit Blocker: I'm not Lisa, I'm Merit.
- John: Cool. This is like one of those wild letters in those magazines. How I made out with twins and didn't know it. This is great!
- Merit Blocker: I think you better go now.
- John: Did you guys plan this or what? Wow! Then that was Lisa I met in school today. I made a pass at you, but it was her.
- Merit Blocker: You made a pass at me?
- John: I better get back there and explain or she's gonna kill me.
- Merit Blocker: Oh, no, please don't say anything.
- John: Don't worry, I won't.
- [kisses Merit and she slaps him]
- John: It just isn't my day.
- Merit Blocker: He got you.
- Lisa Blocker: What?
- Merit Blocker: It was my dream, and he got you.
- Lisa Blocker: The only thing that got me was an overeager senior.
- Merit Blocker: The drugs, they're wearing off.
- Lisa Blocker: [slaps Merit] You let them think I was you. You let them believe I was crazy.
- Merit Blocker: You were yelling about Freddy. If I had defended you, they would've drugged us both. I had to let them think you were me. They're used to me being crazy.
- Lisa Blocker: There were men in white coats, and...
- Merit Blocker: No, mom just called my regular doctor, he sedated you. I had to wait until we could be alone.
- Lisa Blocker: For what?
- Merit Blocker: Now you believe me, right, about Freddy?
- Lisa Blocker: It was just a dream about him. It was all your talk.
- Merit Blocker: Are you out of your mind? How much more do you have to see? He's after both of us in our dreams because daddy killed him.
- Lisa Blocker: Get away from me. You're causing all this. Now you're trying to make me crazy too?
- Merit Blocker: Lisa, please, we have to work together?
- Lisa Blocker: Together? I'm sick of being together. It was bad enough when you were screaming about Freddy on your own. I'm not gonna become like you.
- Merit Blocker: You are like me. Don't you get it? We're sisters. He's after both of us.
- Lisa Blocker: Don't even say that I'm like you. I take after mom. She's strong. God, I wish I was an only child.
- Merit Blocker: Do you believe me now? Or does one of us have to die first?
- Lisa Blocker: You were right from the start. He got inside my head, and he knew what I was thinking about you, all the awful things that I was thinking about you.
- Merit Blocker: That doesn't matter now. He know where to hit both of us.
- Lisa Blocker: Well, what are we supposed to do? No one will believe us. They'll put us away.
- Merit Blocker: We're not gonna tell anyone. We're gonna do this ourselves. We're sharing each other's nightmares. If he gets you, I feel it. And if he gets me, you feel it.
- Lisa Blocker: How are we supposed to stay alive?
- Merit Blocker: I don't know.
- Sarah Blocker: What did you do? What did you do to your sister?
- Merit Blocker: No. It wasn't me. We were helping each other. No, it was Freddy. Lisa died for me. It was Freddy. It was Freddy.
- Lisa Blocker: Hey, what happened to our mirror?
- Merit Blocker: You know what happened.
- Lisa Blocker: Don't start that again.
- Merit Blocker: Sooner or later you'll believe me.
- Lisa Blocker: Believe what? That Freddy Krueger is alive and well and living in your dreams?
- Merit Blocker: He killed daddy.
- Lisa Blocker: Daddy died 'cause he couldn't take it anymore. He killed Freddy, and he couldn't live with it. I can, and I know you can too.
- Merit Blocker: It's easy for you. You're the normal one. Everyone just thinks I'm your nutcase twin.
- Lisa Blocker: Forget about what they think. Mom and I care about you. Mom spends all her time trying to help you.
- Merit Blocker: I don't want to disappoint her. I can't help it. Freddy's there every time I close my eyes. I don't know why you don't see him.
- Lisa Blocker: I don't see him 'cause I don't believe him. Let it go, Merit.
- Merit Blocker: I wish I could be like you.
- Lisa Blocker: You're my sister, that's close enough.
