Utterly cute and touching

Warning: Spoilers
A utterly cute and touching fine little Halloween episode.

Bill once again steals the show by wearing the Bionic Woman outfit. He had so many perfect lines that I don't know where to begin. The entire sequence of him mimicking the Bionic Woman in front of the mirror was hysterical.

For most people however, it was one sucky Halloween. Sam got some nice character development in here, he grew up a little, gave up his Star Wars addiction and started to read a grown-up book. It was very sad to see him so broken up after realizing that it was his sister who threw the eggs.

Lindsay also learned a lesson, I love Mrs. Weir because she's so innocent without being ignorant. I'm glad that Lindsay dressed up as a prince to hand out candy.

All in all, a touching, funny and another great episode from this short-lived little show.

Devil's night fiasco
Mr-Fusion18 October 2017
It all starts off well enough with a silly gross-out cold open, but 'Tricks and Treats' is bittersweet to its core. This Halloween is no fun for the Weir family, with Lindsay going all-in with her rebellious side, souring Sam's evening in the process. Even Mom's fun goes down the drain.

It's got its fair share of humor (Bill, primarily, in the worst Bionic Woman costume) and that mix helps balance things out. It's heartbreaking to see Sam lash out at his sister ("Nobody thinks you're cool, you know!" . . . "Trust me, I know") but then, the payoff is a tonic all its own.

The mix is what counts; it's a funny, painful and satisfying witch's brew.

Tricks and Treats (#1.3)

Warning: Spoilers
It is Halloween and Sam goes for a trick or treating with his friends. Lindsey goes out to drive around with hers instead of handing out candy with her mother. Then she accidentally eggs Sam.

That was again a funny episode. I liked their costumes. The best one was Bill though. Oh I loved him as a bionic woman that was just perfect.

The story of Sam and Lindsey was pretty good. It way a great way to move their sibling relationship further. Now I also wonder if she will be dating Nick. He sure is the nicest guy of them all.

I can't believe Millie has a boyfriend! Although when she talked about him he seems to be just as nuts as her so it makes sense.

The Return of Count Floyd!

Warning: Spoilers
While I enjoyed the episode, it was a special treat to see Joe Flaherty bring back one of his classic costumes from his SCTV days back in the 70s...Count Floyd from Monster Chiller Horror Theater.

With Joe Flaherty, John Candy, Rick Moranis, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, and Harold Ramis, Second City TV was the perfect comedy show to follow Saturday Night Live.
