Unrequited, Sort Of

Daphne continues to claim to be psychic. Niles insists on bringing in a scientist to test her. Frasier's mentor, Tewkesberry, is having a relationship with Roz and Frasier can't take him seriously. But what is found out is food for thought for the future. Roz and Frasier have another one of those pregnant moments as they discuss one another.

Boring episode

The more Roz features in later episodes, the less fun they are to watch. Love Rene Auberjonois...and the stuff with him and Frasier is funny, but really the only memorable part.

Fisher Stevens shows up to test Daphne's psychic powers...but for like all of 3 minutes. So...not a lot happened here. More like a filler episode. I almost went with a 6, but no real reason to come back to this one. Just sort of falls flat.

Warning: Spoilers
Martin's story about the guy he served with in Korea.

That two minute section was the best thing in a dire episode of the show. And seeing as the whole eighth series hasn't been much good, that's really saying something.

From the minute it was mentioned that Doctor Tewkesberry was returning I knew this episode was going to be a dud. Not only is Frasier getting therapy far less interesting than him at the radio station, Tewkesberry wasn't an overly great character the first time he appeared. But at least last time they didn't have him prat around in a robe...

The Niles and Daphne storyline is a total dud too.

Overall, a very weak episode.
