It's a pity Ferguson was only in one episode because he is so charming. He fits right in the Crane household, acting as a housekeeper for Frasier and Martin while also providing Frasier with information about his upper class friends.
But the real joy of this episode is seeing Mel get the boot after all the torture she put Niles and Daphne through. Niles FINALLY develops the confidence to tell her off and gets rid of her for good. Mel is my most disliked character in television and to see her get told off is so satisfying.
Daphne and Niles are able to be together as such and that brings in a plethora of new hilarious situations. I liked seeing their romance progress throughout the later seasons and this episode is the perfect way to really get it started.
