This is the only episode of the series that doesn't use the signature title cards between scenes. Instead there are transitional shots of a trolley with billboards advertising Frasier's show.
The character of Dr. Mary makes a joke about Queen Latifah not being born a real queen. Dr. Mary was played by Kim Coles, who starred with Queen Latifah in the 1990s sitcom "Living Single (1993)" for five seasons.
The character of Chuck Ranberg (Scott Lowell), the producer with a speech impediment, is named after former writer Chuck Ranberg.
The trolley transition shots were taken at the former trolley stop located on Main Street between 1st and 2nd, essentially at Occidental Square. This is the same place where Niles and Frasier are walking when they decide to head out on foot to the Space Needle in the Season 5 episode entitled "1000th Episode," which was filmed on location in Seattle. The same trolley can be seen in that episode as well. It is also the location where the Elliot Bay Book Company was located (SE corner of 1st and Main), the business which housed the coffee shop that Cafe Nervosa was intended to imitate. The frequent use of this location would also strongly suggest that the KACL headquarters are located at Pioneer Square.
