Lilith's next generation

So pleased to see Brent Spiner! Apart from that, I loved the way the writers wove the theme through the episode with a little in- joke for Star Trek: TNG fans ( you look a little pale). The skill of the writers and actors continues to amaze me with this series. So smooth and natural, nothing seems forced. Wonderful!

Mr. Data Daddy?

The fundamental plot line here is Lilith asking Frasier to be a sperm donor. Her invasive tendencies are at full tilt. Frasier is vacillating. There are some really funny lines. There is a great one about the sperm being frozen and Lilith sleeping with Frasier. We also have a subplot of Roz, Daphne, Alice, and Daphne mother going to British Columbia and leaving a photograph behind. We Trekkies will notice immediately a cameo by Brent Spiner from "The Next Generation."

Taken for granted...

A regular viewer who likes "Frasier" can gets so used to the quality of the writing and acting on "Frasier" that his far into the series, a regular viewer can tend to think that episodes now are either average or below average.. But if the writing of all the episodes was always just average, this one would really stand out as the 10 star episode it is.. I don't think it can get any better than this.. This episode is loaded with double entendres and surprising little twist and turns... And it just might give a viewer a thing or two to consider: considerations about being a partner when creating a child via artificial insemination, and being more careful when taking a selfie or determining just who and what are the subject of the selfie.

Lilith Needs a Favor

The change in Frasier Crane between 'Cheers' and 'Frasier' is often mentioned, but it should also be noted that the character of Lilith is also marked, with her becoming more humanised and dare I say it likable.

This episode is another fine example of this, and there is a good mix of humour and heart along the way, as she asks a big favour of Frasier.

The B plot involving Niles etc isn't great, and a bit of a waste of time really. The main plot is so engaging I'd rather have had more of this than the 'adventures' of Mrs Moon.

Overall another good episode of the show, which seems to be getting a bit of consistency back after two middling prior years.
