Niles and Frasier get roped into a bike-a-thon even though neither can ride one. There are a number of striking visual moments. I loved when Frasier on his full-sized bike sits in tandem with Nile on one with a banana seat and high handlebars. They are a unique comic pair.

Breaking Away Easter egg!

Not sure if "Easter egg" is the correct term--while Frasier is learning to ride and keeps crashing into the tree, the music being played was also in the wonderful 1979 movie Breaking Away, about a young man obsessed with bike racing and the Italian bike team. SEE IT IF YOU HAVEN'T!

One of my favorite Frasier episodes. Probably my favorite of season 10. Frasier and Niles get coerced to participate in a Bike-a-thon. And neither of them ever learned how to bike. Their quibbling and physical comedy while trying to learn the skill is the highlight of the episode. This particular failures athletic skill of Frasier and Niles is great because it's not entirely inconceivable, yet it's a ridiculous amusing shortcoming all the same. It's also great that this episode idea wasn't used until Roz's daughter Alice was old enough to bike herself, which makes Nikes and Frasier's inability to master the skill more entertaining. Also Martin learns that Daphne's Mom has been undermining his dates. 10/10 And I don't rate everything 10 like some people.

A great episode from a decent 10th season
In this one, Frasier enters a AIDS Bike-A-Thon for KACL, although he doesn't know how to ride a bike. Daphne and Niles then enter and it gets funny.

The decline in 'Frasier' is shown no more clearly than when the writers cheapen the character hugely by having him repeatedly crash his bike into a tree. Who on Earth on the creative team signed off on that??
It reminds me of what the writers of 'Joey' would do years later - cheapen the character, take them into the realms of "surely they aren't that stupid?" just for the sake of a cheap laugh.
It's a shame really, because as others have said, there's a lot that's good about this episode, and it didn't really need to cheapen itself in this way. Surely another joke could have been developed.
Felicity Huffman is back too - joy...
