The End of an Era
Hitchcoc27 September 2019
This is a nice little episode. Martin has been going to the same bar for years, meeting with his old police buddies. It turns out that it will be torn down to be replaced by a mall. Niles and Frasier unwittingly invest in the corporation that is doing this. This leads to conflict between the boys and their dad even though they did nothing intentionally. It's a pleasant little thing.

A nice, Martin centred show

Warning: Spoilers
As with the previous episode of 'Frasier' the writers seems to be using the time to remind the audience of the secondary characters, and what they bring to the show. On this occasion it's Martin.

There are some lovely moments within this episode, especially the scenes between Frasier and Martin, with John Mahoney on top form. I much prefer the characters when they're like this, rather than at each others throats like earlier in the series.

The show is getting better and better week by week, feeling less like a spin-off and more like a show in it's own right, and that is a testament to all involved.
