Don't Go Breaking My Heart

I doubted how 'Frasier' (and this is an ailing 'Frasier' don't forget) would manage to eek and stretch this storyline out for three parts, but it's just about amanged to.

This thrird helping doesn't go as dramatic in tone as the previous episdoe, and it is all the better for it.

There are some nice moments, and it's all well played. And well-written, which makes for a nice change.

It's good to see the show trying to do something a bit different, and while it's not been a totally successful experiment, I suppose it is testament to the show that it can takes its characters to a more dramatic place.

Predictable

When Niles was going into surgery, Frasier made a deal with God to not argue with his brother any more. The problem is that Niles has become a boorish embracer of life, but also criticizes Frasier concerning art and professional beliefs. He is ceasing relations with Daphne and bugging Martin. Some of this is comedic but much is just too difficult to accept.
