In the flashback to the tango scene in the "Moondance" episode, Niles says "this is one of my favorite memories" of Daphne. Jane Leeves (Daphne) said in an interview that "Moondance" is her favorite episode.
It won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Multi-Camera Picture Editing for a Series.
The vegetable chopping flashback scene was either refilmed at a better angle to insert Season 8 Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) and Niles (David Hyde Pierce) or it was a different take from the one aired in Episode 5.20 (First Date (1998)). The most obvious difference is that Niles' voice overwhelms Daphne's (Jane Leeves) when they sing together, whereas Daphne's voice is dominant in "First Date." Also, Daphne stops chopping too early on.
The flashback of Niles first meeting Daphne is an actual scene from the third episode of the series.
