Cheryl Miller and "Daktari" move in...
wes-connors26 September 2007
Ricks (Brian Kelly), Sandy (Luke Halpin), and Bud (Tommy Norden) rescue the shipwrecked (actually, sideswiped) "McCoy's Floating Zoo": Cheryl Miller (as Bonnie McCoy), Pat Henning (as her father, Sean McCoy), and their "Daktari" chimpanzee Judy. The small zoo's main attraction, a (crated) baby elephant, is later located by Flipper. Mr. Henning's leg is injured, and the foursome homeless; so, they stay with the Ricks family. Complicating matters: the friendly family is "on the lam" from Guy Rennie (as Mr. Simpson), who is seeking to collect an unpaid $200.

Part one of a three-part story guest starring soon-to-be "Daktari" star Cheryl Miller as Bonnie McCoy. Strangely, nobody remembers Ms. Miller and her floating zoo had appeared a month earlier! - Cheryl Miller as Bonnie McCoy appeared January 23, as an "older woman" love interest for Sandy; she was taking the "McCoy's Animal Show" boat out for a spin while her father recuperated from an illness. Along with the collective amnesia, the zoo's animals have dwindled down to two; including, by the way, Daktari's favorite chimp, Judy. Miller is still pretty in pink, and the Miller & Halpin flirtation is MUCH more normal this time around; they, and Judy's boat-jacking, are highlights.

**** Flipper and the Elephant, pt 1 (2/27/65) Andrew Marton ~ Brian Kelly, Luke Halpin, Cheryl Miller

Bonnie McCoy again

Warning: Spoilers
Though it's not mentioned in this episode, this is actually the second episode about the McCoy's. You may remember that she had a floating zoo a few episodes back. Sandy had a thing for her, but we are given the impression that they just met in this episode...Strange.

This episode involved a chimp, a baby elephant, and a dolphin. It is the first of three episodes about the McCoy's and their two animal circus. They have a man after them because they owe him $200, which I'm sure was a lot back in the sixties...Since they can't give him the money, he wants the elephant.

There is a...strange...mishap in this episode. It's quite humorous, actually, and involves a chimp driving a boat. Though a bit hard to imagine, it's worth watching. Interestingly, it damages Porter's boat but the boat is perfectly fine at the beginning of part two...That's television for you!
