  Betty Rubble : So? Do you have to do everything Fred does? If he jumped in the river, I suppose you'd jump in after him.

  Barney Rubble : Yeah, I guess I'd have to, Betty. You see, Fred can't swim!

• Fred Flintstone : How about that, Barney? Now our wives want to attend lodge meetings.

  Barney Rubble : Yeah. Well, as the old saying goes, uh: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.

  Fred Flintstone : Now what's that got to do with our wives wanting to go to lodge meetings?

  Barney Rubble : Well, uh, nothing really. I just felt I ought to keep up my end of the conversation.
