Are there any more chipsticks?

Who on Earth doesn't love a packet of chipsticks? Do they still make them even?

I'm off the subject.... Think Fast Father Ted is an out and out classic, it's outrageously funny, and one of those episodes that doesn't let up for a minute, it's just incredibly laugh out loud funny.

We all know why Ted is on the Island, he can't help himself, and he certainly can't help himself in this one, as another of his schemes goes wrong.

Father Jack, as he so often does steals the show, he is at his best here, love him walking around with the air freshener on his ear.

We still get the surreal touches, the crows, so funny.

Joyous, 10/10.

I'd give it an 11, but I'm looking at it upside down.

Warning: Spoilers
This episode delivers a heavy dose of cynicism appropos the Catholic Church and also sees Ted's untrustworthiness with money rear its ugly head again. From the start, when Ted convinces Dougal of the benefits of rigging the raffle, to the end, when Father O'Dwyer steals the raffle money from under their noses, it's clear that the priests are the wolves and the Craggy Islanders are the sheep.

The episode also contains a rare example of an altruistic priest in the Father Ted universe, yet he ends up dying of a heart attack!!

Mind you, aside from the cynicism, it's interesting that the three priests fall asleep whilst driving the second car home and yet arrive safely back at the Parochial House, perhaps suggesting that God does work in mysterious ways after all.

Overall, it's up there with the best of Father Ted. It's blessed with sublime writing that takes innocuous situations and turns them into catastrophes, as well as the usual excellent support from the wider cast. It's another one of the show's episodes that you can enjoy watching over and over again.
