Originally when giving his description of the beast, Dougal was meant to say that "instead of a mouth, it's got two faces." Ardal O'Hanlon didn't think the line was funny, and while recording the episode he changed it on the spur of the moment. His new version ("instead of a mouth, it's got four arses") proved so successful that Dermot Morgan was forced to wait several minutes before he could continue, due to the amount of laughter from the studio audience.
The items on Dougal's "They Don't Exist" List are: Loch Ness Monster, Frankenstein, Magnum P.I., Non-catholic gods, Darth Vader, The Beast, and The Phantom of the Opera.
Dougal mentions Liam Neeson. Ardal O'Hanlon and Liam Neeson starred in Derry Girls.
