The Quilt (#1.11)

Warning: Spoilers
Not too much funny in this episode, although I did find it very sweet and didn't find it completely bad.

My problem again is Laura. There is nothing about this girl that one can like. And she does seem to be a bit dumb in this episode, which is kind of funny since she is supposed to be the smart one. But I guess she is just someone who can memorize material of middle school level but not very good when it comes to using her brains for real.

And I didn't really like it how they got the quilt back. Was way too unrealistic. Plus the scene was neither funny nor touching so a fail. What I did like was the main idea about the Quilt.

In praise of Kellie S Williams

Warning: Spoilers
On the negative side, Urkel doesn't appear in this episode-so there is no Steve-Laura content here. Not good. I am quite partial to Steve-Laura themes. However, Kellie S is so good here, she actually makes the episode work. Laura does a bad thing. She sells Mother Winslow's cherished quilt. Carl and Laura manage to track down the woman that Laura sold thd quilt to. Laura pleads with the woman to sell back the quilt, even resorting to tears. When Laura started to cry, so did I. I'm not ashamed to admit it. Kellie S has gotten me choked up, many times throughout the series. She was a fantastic actress, even at such a young age. The story of the quilt is mildly interesting, but it took Laura (and Kellie's great performance) to make it all click.

Our past teaches us the lessons and gives us the experiences that prepare us for the future. The strength given to this upstanding family has been passed down from generation to generation. Beautiful and important episode.

Sorry, I know this is an older show in the 80s. But Laura sold that quilt for 300... and that lady is selling the quilt for 3000 that's not right that's wrong I know it's just a TV show but that's wrong. I know she got the quilt back but that lady lied to her. Laura sold the quilt for 300. The lady sold it for 3000 still wrong not right. That lady didn't actually lied to her but that's wrong for the lady to sell it for 3000 when she got it for 300. I love this show I used to watch it all the time every day it was on. It's a very good show was sad to see it go!! Steve Urkel I love it when he turns into Stefan.
