The One Where Peter Plays The Piano Drunk...
taylorkingston2 September 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoy this episode. It's so funny. It's one of my all-time favorite episodes from this season.

In this episode, Peter wants to win a trip to the Pawtucket Brewery, so in order to find the winning bottle, he drinks an insane amount of beer. The the process, Lois discovers that Peter can play the piano perfectly, as long as he's drunk. And since she wants to win the upcoming piano contest, she takes him on as a student.

Fun Fact: This is the first episode where Peter falls over, scraps his knee, and goes, "sssss...aaaahhh", as he does a lot throughout the series.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.

Would of been better if the whole episode was a Willy Wonka parody but still good

This is the Willy Wonka parody episode the first 15 minutes are good but the last 7 minutes is where Lois finds out Peter plays the piano good when he's drunk.

Feels like it's a parody.. but it's done good

It has it's own nice unique personality to it though.

I like them exploring the thought of Peter playing the piano super good drunk.

The drama with them not being able to get alcohol on Sunday when they needed to be at that concert and, how they almost lost was pretty nice.

It feels like a parody of Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory and, a mix of the Simpsons episode "Duffless".

Masterful

In the face of over a hundred episodes "Wasted Talent" shines through as, in my opinion, the greatest "Family Guy" episode ever. With a story-line that starts off with a brilliant spoof, the best of it's kind, and leads on to a climactic finish with plenty of action, laugh-out-loud funny jokes and amazing music, as always. What Seth & Co. have done is turn a show already brimming with excellence into a guideline for how adult cartoon comedy should be done.

This kind of episode makes it perfectly clear that "Family Guy" is not only the funniest show on television but the best too, of course, that's just my opinion.

Best Episode Ever
tkeane-127 April 2006
This, in my opinion, is the best episode of Family Guy ever. No doubts about it. It contains all the essential family guy ingredients: Peter being stupid, Brian being drunk, Lois being Lois. Endless pop culture references. The same joke going on for so long that it becomes not funny then becomes funny again.

It seems that Season 1 was a learning process and with Season 3 they took on more than they could handle. Season 2 is the best and Wasted Talent is the best of the best. Honorable mentions include Da Boom and E. Peterbus Unum. The only episode that lets this season down really is A Picture is Worth....

Family Guy meets Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory. I really enjoyed the contest aspect of this episode -- really takes me back to when that was still a thing. At least, I don't think beer/soda contests are still an ongoing thing...

Anyway, this one is a lot of people's favorite episode, and for good reason: It's a classic, and arguably one of the most rewatchable episodes. It's one where, each time you watch it, you notice and take something new away that'd gone under your radar on previous watch.
