- Marie has finally pushed Debra to her limit. Debra sends her a letter telling how she really feels about her.
- When Marie crashes and ruins her Tupperware party, Debra decides that she's had just about enough of her mother-in-law's constant interference. She takes pen to paper and writes a letter to Marie, telling her to stop intruding into her life. Horrified by the problems that this letter might trigger, Ray does everything in his power to intercept the offending document.
- Debra hosts a Tupperware party. Helen (Nora Dunn) represents the Tupperware company.
Ray forgot all about the Tupperware party and invites a couple of his friends over to watch the fight on his satellite TV. Ray wants Debra to move her Tupperware party as the fight is only at a particular time, while Debra can host her event anytime. Debra refuses as she wants to spend time with her friends. Debra says that Ray and his friends can watch the fight from the bedroom upstairs. Frank and Robert also come over and are ushered upstairs. Amy (Monica Horan) also attends the Tupperware party.
Marie crashes and ruins her Tupperware party. Marie had brought over some snacks for Ray's game night, but then realizes that she was not invited for Debra's Tupperware party. Debra blames Ray and pretends that she asked Ray to invite Marie for the Tupperware party. Marie assumes that she was invited and proceeds to sit down with the girls.
The girls are having fun and telling raunchy jokes, but Marie cannot participate since she cannot understand their jokes. Debra's friend Linda (Maggie Wheeler) says that her husband Bernie did not use a tape measure to get the correct size for the curtain rods, and as a consequence he had to go to the hardware store 12 times to get it right. Marie comments that maybe Bernie was having an affair.
The next game is "guess whose nightie". Helen asks every lady to put their nightie in a common bag. The game is to guess whose nightie it is when it is pulled out one by one. Marie didn't bring one as she wasn't told about the party. The first nightie which Marie pulls out belongs to Amy. It is an awkward moment since Marie clearly disapproves of the nightie and judges Amy for wearing it. Amy claims that she never wears the nightie and only brought it for the game. Marie pulls out the next nightie and Debra interrupts her as it is not her turn. Debra yanks at the nightie and tears it into 2 pieces. The nightie belonged to Gayle (Kristen Trucksess) and she had worn it on her honeymoon.
The guys come down as the fight is over early. Marie invites the guys to stay and have her snacks. She also comments that nobody has touched Debra's food. Linda leaves since she cannot locate Bernie and it seems like Marie had guessed the truth. Robert is embarrassed to see Amy's nightie. While Frank finds the whole bag of nighties. The women leave. Marie taunts Debra that it was a bad party.
Debra decides that she's had just about enough of her mother-in-law's constant interference. She takes pen to paper and writes a letter to Marie, telling her to stop intruding into her life. Ray tells Debra not to put anything in writing since then she will not be able to deny it.
Horrified by the problems that this letter might trigger, Ray does everything in his power to intercept the offending document. Ray hands by Marie's house to intercept the letter as soon as the mailman delivers it. But Frank gets the letter and reads it. Now Ray wants to run but Marie makes Ray stay till Frank reads the entire letter. Debra comes over and says that it was a mistake to send that letter. Marie says that she feels that she is not welcome in Debra's house. Debra says that she is over all the time. The ladies cry and hug it out.
Debra leaves thinking that the matter is resolved, but then Marie keeps the letter safe in her drawer.
