I used to be a gentleman!

This is not the best episode in the series, but it has perhaps the best, and certainly my favourite scene of this show. Frank's speech about how rudeness is the only thing that gets to Marie ending with his desperate scream: "I used to be a gentleman!" is fantastic. And what elevates it to pure brilliance is Peter Boyle's perfect acting - the timing, the tone, the facial expressions - everything is fantastic. Whenever I watch this episode, I always re-watch that scene a few times and it always makes me laugh.

The rest of the episode is ok, not the greatest, but not bad, but that scene alone makes it a 10 out of 10.

Would have led to divorce in reality

Whoa! Slow down there, Ray. I really dislike this episode for the way Ray actually blames HIS OWN WIFE for what happened. I know the entire series is about him being a mama's boy to Marie and him being the favorite. But man, this was really harsh. In reality, I could see his behavior here in blaming Debra leading to a divorce. He threw her under the bus. It's not even funny. Marie was wrong to barge into the house when Debra clearly was not in the mood. And then to stay when she refused to read the room. It's all a sad situation. I'm surprised Marie and Debra ever reconciled after this.

Kind of a low point for me due to Ray being a bit if a jerk.
