Just as I Am (#11.14)

Warning: Spoilers
So Kerry finally meets her mother. I really like how they did it, it was a bit unexpected. And they did it pretty well by showing the insecurity of the characters dealing with each other while still being happy to find somebody they were looking for. Unfortunately Kerry's mom is a woman of faith and can't really accept that Kerry is gay. While I think it is absolutely awful, they managed still to make the woman not somebody one hates. And the end of her and Kerry hugging each other after Kerry aid that she wants no love without acceptance was beautiful. I wonder if it is the last we saw about her mother. Seems like it, it was almost like a closure.

Also got to laugh a bit from that fight caused by people who wanted drugs where Neela almost got to hit somebody with a bed pan on the head.

Just one irritation

Warning: Spoilers
How does an auto parts retailer from a small town in NW Indiana stay in the Palmer House for several weekdays?

Other than that, I enjoyed the episode.

All about Kerry

Hence the 1 Star.

Nothing about this character is worth an entire episode. She gets more than enough screen time during non Weaver episodes.

Weaver's hateful rant

Warning: Spoilers
Weaver's hateful rant was tired and much too long. More time could have been focused on the Demerol addicted patients who like starting fights in hospitals.
