Death and Taxes (#10.7)

Warning: Spoilers
A pretty tragic ending to the story of the man going blind whom Susan visited to keep him from depression. He ended up killing himself by shooting into his head. A pretty sad part when she gets too see who it is and then end up deciding not to revive him as he would wanted so, it is understandable after she knew him already and wouldn't want him to suffer again.

Romano brings some laughs again with his artificial hand that is now harassing women in the ER, but also shows a sensitive moment when he has to tell the raped prisoner that he has HIV.

I kind of wonder if that picture of Samantha's kid's head won't end up having something bad in it. I have a feeling this may be a story.

And this episode Betsy Brandt from Breaking Bad is in. A pretty good work here. Neela seems to have done a good decision to not rat her out, she is better than most of them

A word about neatmiker...
deontee200216 February 2024
Reading some of his past reviews reveals a clear pattern. Apparently, the fact that people other than whites exist in real life gets him triggered, much less on fictional television shows and movies. Well I have bad news, Mr. "neat"...anyone who's ever been in a hospital in an urban area knows that saltines like yourself wouldn't make up a majority of the staff. Perhaps you need to go the way of your favorite character Dr. Romano (and it's quite obvious WHY that's your favorite) and have a helicopter crush you to death? Maybe then and ONLY then can you ever make it to the imaginary White Heaven you so desire? Here's hoping!

Great?t episode. Unforgettable and very emotionally touching

Warning: Spoilers
For me this was the best episode of the ER in the hole series. It is especially poignant because I have ocular degeneration the same as what Bob Newhart has in the episode. I am going through the same experiences he went through in the show. I have also contemplated suicide at some point in the future. Right now I have to use speech recognition for my messages because I cannot type.

Bob...Bob Newhart is...is in this one too
neatmiker22 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So...so glad the Bob, Bob Newhart stammer fest is...is...is d-done. Never been a fan of his schtick, found it disingenuous and boring. Other than him it's business as usual at the county ER: Pratt's still over acting, Chen still can't act, Abby still pouts and Romano is still runnin' the show with his 'boiling over anger management gone wrong' attitude, which is the only interesting thing that happens. This show desperately needs to get back to basic storylines with white bread characters so we can focus on the story of hospitals and patients, not the ethnicity of the characters and the implied social issues du jour that we're evidently supposed to care about.

Susan, Luca and new nurse Sam Taggart (Dead to Me's Judy) are the only characters of interest recently, though Sam's son is a bit overwritten, which is the norm for these writers lately. I barely watch a scene without them in it. Watched an episode of season 1 earlier today and wow - it is a completely different show. Sadly, that's not a good thing.
