Hard to watch but worth it

Warning: Spoilers
It was definitely an extremely hard episode to watch. It was horrible to see how the blacks were treated. It was good to see the good side of Loren at the end though.

Probably the most uncomfortable episode with reaspect to race

This show deals with bigotry repeatedly, but this ep truly puts it in your face. For when it originally aired over 20 years ago I can only wonder how it was viewed. I hope that it is viewed today as truly can never happen again.

Sad

This show is beginning to get on my nerves, the people of the town are easily influence by any one, Jake, Hank and Loren are the worst, the way they treated Robert Lee is ridiculous knowing he is their friend, but all the while eating at Grace's restaurant, another side note did it ever snow in Colorado

30 years later...

... if you're uncomfortable watching this in 2023, well... welcome to it. Historically inaccurate according to another review, and that author may be accurate in stating that-I'm unsure. But the point the show was making rang true then and rings true now. If this episode doesn't make you uncomfortable, then you're probably part of a big problem we have. It's amazing how much of this show is still relevant today. And not in a cringey way either, but a relatable way. It shows the best in humanity, and the worst. It shows struggle from race and from gender. I wish this was on television today, and not merely as a streaming option for the bygone era.

Historically. Inaccurate

Nowhere near historical. Accurate. The klan did not exist in the late 1800's. It disbanded in the 1870's. It reformed in 1915. It only was active in the South and parts of the East. There was no klan activity in Colorado.
