More than just a filler episode...
m-4782620 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So many great moments. Dawson and Andie getting drunk, and singing the blues. Jack falling into another one of Abbie's traps. Jen finally breaking up with that conflicted guy Ty, after re-enacting the « sweaty palm » from Titanic. Dawson calling everyone out on their issues, and Joey pushing him face down on his birthday cake. As well as his little nod at Jen, were the best parts. The talk at the end, was nice and all. But clearly symptomatic of Dawson and Joey's codependency. There again, the music was inappropriate and not to the standard of what you'd expect to hear on the show. Especially the closing song, that belonged to a different scene, or series even. So it's a good thing the script, and some of the acting, make up for that again.

The One With Dawson's Sixteenth Birthday...

Warning: Spoilers
I do not have much to say about this episode. It's mildly entertaining, it's worth watching, but it's not awesome, amazing, great, or freaking ridonkulous.

In this episode, Dawson turns sixteen, and he, Pacey, and Andie follow her therapists advice. They decide to throw themselves a night of recklessness, where Andie, and Dawson both get drunk. But everyone else is waiting for them at Dawson's birthday party, at the Leery house. And when they come home drunk, and Dawson says a few mean words, the party ends quickly.

Overall, I give this episode a 5 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Okay.
