Indian Pals
JordanThomasHall25 March 2019
Tom is hosting the first meeting of the "Indian Pals" for Eddie, five boys his age, and their fathers. The group is organized as a way for fathers and sons to spend more time together. Gung-ho Dr. Bob Lockwood (Jonathan Daly, "CPO Sharkey") volunteers to be elected permanent chief for their teepee (branch). Eddie picks his and Tom's name as Big Golden Arrow and Little Golden Arrow. Norman and Tina walk in to see the initiation. Due to Tom's need at the office, Tina helps by making their badges, but they're purple and gold ribbons with sequins. At the meeting they find the others naturally have more masculine badges and that Bob and his son Danny (Teddy Quinn) have also picked the names of Big Golden Arrow and Little Golden Arrow. Norman is studious of Native American customs and coaches Tom and Eddie on the proper rain dance and attire. As it's getting late, they send Eddie to bed to keep working on the assigned project- a headdress. Bob drops in and criticizes the men on going against the principles of the group- a discussion that makes them think.

A little slow in the middle, but finishes strong with a nice tag scene.

Such a stereotype
vikitoria19 May 2021
I watch this today in 2021 and this was such a white man show of what a Native American is... they have no right to say Indian. As much as I wanted to scroll through I did not. This was, and is, the way white people (or non Natives) treat us. People scream about other cultures being butchered but the Natives, well it's constant. No one says a thing.
