Probably the best ending is the history of the media.

Warning: Spoilers
Amazing episode. One of the most tragic and sad tales ever seen on the television screen. Even after all these years it still affects everyone.

Such an emotionally tragic story, which ends with such a beautifully haunting song and everything connects perfectly.

Probably the best ending is the history of the media. These last three minutes are not like watching one more television show but an emotional experience. Yes I know I am overeacting but it really is something you carry in your mind for days.

Fly away little butterfly.

Fly fly away.

Once again.

Amazing ending..

Amazing episode...

Well written, well acted and heart wrenching episode
ronmto13 July 2023
It's July 2023 and I just started watching Cold Case. I know I'm only 8 episodes, but I'm hooked, be it 20 years late. Thank God for streaming.

This was such a strong episode, that left me drained. Either my AC filter needs to be changed or teared up a little. The tone was just so hopeless. The writing didn't pull any punches and believed the audience could handle the subject matter.

Detective Rush (Kathryn Morris) does a great job fighting her own personal experiences when investigating this case.

I can only hope there are more episodes like this. The way each episode end with Det Rush seeing the victim(s) is such a nice touch.

Outstanding

This is one of those Cold Case episodes that reaches inside you and rips your heart out.

What makes this episode so devastating is that you don't feel exploited for cheap sentiment. It's worse: It is devastating because you have no problem believing it happened in real life. It's a hard watch, but an immensely satisfying one. This is what made this sadly underrated series just plain great. It never talked down to its audience. It pulled none of its punches. Its humanity demanded you take it seriously.

It's July 2023 and this episode still gets to me.
angelbix-777658 July 2023
Cold Case was one of my favorite shows back in the day. This episode in particular is the most memorable. Kathryn Morris' character, Lily Rush reveals a bit of her own past in this episode and it resonates deeply. The episode's main characters, Rosie and Toya, are equally heartbreaking. The ending had me crying as much as when I first saw this episode. I have rewatched this series in its entirety at least twice over the years and I started watching them again last night. They never get old. The music in each episode and the flashbacks to the earlier times are one of the main reasons this show worked so well. I wish it had continued as long as SVU has. All the characters are great.

Still one of the most emotional episodes of this superbly written and acted series
tarryng-6061327 December 2022
Writing this review with teary eyes after watching this episode even after so many years. The brilliance of the acting, writing and score for this episode still make this one of the MOST EMOTIONALLY GRIPPING episodes of the series. You can almost feel the hopelessness of the Mother for her Child as though you were living in their reality and what a sad reality it is because you know that this type of thing is really happening out in the world somewhere. Well done overall to the creators and actors of this show but especially this episode...you really pulled on the heart strings with this one. Thankyou Prime Video for streaming this amazing series...I'll definitely be binge watching over the holiday break.

Incredible episode!

I remember watching some episodes of "Cold Case" when I was a child, but not very frequently. I think that because of that, I never really considered the series to that good - just something fun. However, upon rewatching it now, I can confidently say that I'm really enjoying it and even surprised by the quality. This episode serves as a perfect example of that. With a devastating story that genuinely touches our hearts with every twist it takes, it takes us on a rollercoaster of emotions. Even the actors, who in some episodes might not be the most convincing, are truly exceptional in this one. I find it particularly interesting how they begin to delve into Lilly's past in this episode. That being said, I genuinely believe that, up to this point, this has been the best episode.
