- Rebecca is on a healthy eating kick and is trying to convince others in the bar to join her. The guys do join her in enjoying rice cakes, which they use for other purposes. Meanwhile, Lilith is in mourning as her favorite lab rat, Whitey, has died. Frasier offers sympathy, that is until he finds out that she is carrying the dead rat in her purse. Frasier throws Whitey in the garbage, and when Lilith finds out, she does the same to Frasier - throw him in the garbage, that is. Lilith has banished Frasier from the house, and thus he's forced to sleep on the bar's couch in his suit. Unfortunately, this tiff coincides with an important meeting they have to get Frederick into an exclusive preschool. They need to hold off their anger toward each other long enough to make it through the interview, but some item association at the interview makes them come to an important realization. Sam is also in mourning, but is mourning the loss of a beautiful woman, who he never really had since she is rebuking him. But Sam finds out what he believes to be the incredulous reason for her rebuke.—Huggo
- Rebecca has been trying to eat healthier foods, and attempts to try and get the others in the bar to follow suit. However, noone is really wishing to go along with her positive outlook.
Meanwhile, Lilith is mourning the death of her favorite lab rat, Whitey. Frasier attempts to help Lilith get over Whitey's death, by taking her out one evening. However, when Lilith goes to check on a phone call, Frasier finds that she has put Whitey's dead body in her purse! Frasier quickly throws the rat in the garbage out front. Naturally, Lilith is furious when she discovers this.
Frasier awakes the next day after spending the night at Cheers, only to receive a call from Lilith to attend a pre-school meeting regarding Frederick. The meeting almost goes well, until Lilith is shown how the school's gerbil had babies, and igniting both Lilith and Frasier's ire regarding how she's been behaving regarding Whitey.
