The Last Temptation Of Norm
dgplatt-6012110 March 2024
One of the longest running mysteries of this show (along with "Why were there two Garys?") is: just what is the deal with Norm and Vera's marriage? Are they high school sweethearts who lost interest in each other? Does Norm just not like sex? Or maybe he actually (gulp) loves Vera? This episode offers an answer, sort of.

Norm is courting a new client who just happens to be an attractive single woman. Everyone at the bar is convinced she's interested in Norm, and most want him to act on this. Diane, of course, is appalled, while Sam cautions Norm against giving in to pressure from the guys.

So does Norm really love Vera? It's not much of spoiler to say "maybe." With a couple exceptions, this episode is probably the closest we'll ever get to a realistic depiction of their marriage. Nevertheless, this is a pretty funny one.

"Could this be Vera?" "With a lot of expensive surgery, maybe"

Warning: Spoilers
Norman has a new client, and the lady in question comes with him to Cheers, Norman's friends quickly realize that she wants more than just professional help from Norman, Norman doesn't see it but when he does he becomes torned about cheating his wife or not. It's a pretty entertaining episode, it's a one story arc episode, which isn't necessarily bad, and Norman it's always a funny character. What I most enjoyed about this episode is the perspective that Norman has about loving his wife and how Sam realizes he has the same thing with Diane, there's nothing special about this episode , but it's above average for the constant Norman Gags, specially when he arrives to the bar after Emily has called the bar "Uhhh..that woman is an animal" annd when Coach warns him "She just called" and he is like "What? She wants more?" classic Norm!! 7/10 ******* Peter Shelby

Norman's Conquest (#2.20)

Warning: Spoilers
Norman comes to the bar with a woman he made taxes for and the rest notices that she is interested in him. They tell it to him and he plans to cheat on his wife, Diane tries to convince him not to, but he goes anyways. Then it turns out that he changed his mind but he still wants to pretend that he cheated. But everyone already knows that he is lying about it.

Not a bad episode. Norm is a pretty funny character, although there isn't that much about him out there. So he loves his beer and talks badly about his wife even though he loves her. A little bit cheesy I must say but got me some laughs.
